New design on the horizon

Interior Design can make the most of a space, room or property.

Instead of telling you what we can do, we would like to show you what we have done. Below are a few samples of the work we have done for clients, and we hope you will get some insight into the way we work when you browse through them.

Our Portfolio

Domaine du Beauport

Project A

This is the first of two projects the client asked us to work on with him. The brief was simple "modern but comfortable".

We provided all the furnishings and accessories for the living room and bedrooms.

In the living room we went for a tan leather sofa and a modern chair in a lighter tan colour, and used lots of glass to keep it light and airy. We sourced colourful art works and kept the curtains neutral so as not to take away from the stunning views.

In the bedroom the key was comfort, and being easy to look after. Lots of storage was incorporated into all the rooms. Very good quality linen was used on the beds and the beds have well made firm mattresses.

In all the rooms we provided one stunning piece of art work for his guests to admire, and very subtle lighting. All of the windows in the house except the living room had very simple white wooden horizontal blinds that are 5cm deep and very easy to look after.

Over the next couple of months after we finished the installation of all the furniture and accessories, the client brought us back several times to add additional items.

He always said "how much he enjoyed the process"

Curtain Bluff

Project B

This is the second project we have completed or this client. Even though we used some of the furniture form his previous project, the house has a completely different look.

The brief received was "contemporary but not minimal & must be cosy for the long winters".

To achieve this we used darker fabrics in curtains and on the sofas. The floors are a lovely warm hue and the modern furniture compliments the floor with warm oak finishes.

The B&O equipment was kept black, and the colour was brought in to the room through the art and stunning glass pieces by Anna Torfs,. The wood floor was softened with a hand-made bespoke size rug. Down lighters were present but these did not create a cosy feel so we introduced a Spun floor lamp by Flos in high-gloss white in one corner to make a statement.

In the kitchen we had made a bespoke 19mm thick glass table with black wenge wooden legs to compliment the granite counter tops and on one wall a huge piece of colourful art. In the den we created a cosy office with lots of storage, book shelves & the tan sofa from the previous project altogether with another hand made rug on the oaks floor. .

In the bedrooms we went a lot more modern, each room has its own feel and colour scheme. The linen is different for each room and the head boards reflect the moods we tried to create. Some rooms we used wood and others we used white matt lacquer.

The clients comments where "perfect" and he has been back time an time again to tell us that as well, long term is the most important impression as we put together schemes that will work winter and summer.

1 Queens Road

Project C

One of Guernsey most prestigious Georgian properties- and we were ask to be a major part of the interiors. Fantastic.

The clients did not want to take away form the Georgian grandeur but work with It, this meant bold pieces, large pieces lots of statements, like large blocks of colour cabinetry and high head boards.

Though they wanted to have fun, this is a family home after all, so for instance, for the design in the family room and the kitchen, we used the colours from an existing Wurlitzer jukebox with high gloss cabinets, bold primary colours for cushions on a dark sofa to throw themselves on.

In the hallway we used a stunning bridge design console with a traditional trellises pattern etched on a modern piece of glass with a stunning half circle mirror that shows guest right away that the owners do not take themselves too seriously.

Staying on the ground floor in the main living room and dining room, we used a combination of taupe leather sofas and cream leather dining chairs, light oak cabinetry and tables, stunning hand made brass lamps and dark rich fabrics in cushions, and arm chairs and curtains. The dining table is a bespoke design made for them and can seat ten comfortably.

In the cinema room we used a very comfortable L shaped dark fabric sofa with adjustable arms and two swivel chairs in dark leather.

The office brief  was "storage, storage, storage," so that is what they got. One of the largest bespoke desks we have ever supplied, with under desk storage units on wheels. Two 180cm x 80cm high side boards with internal shelves. Desk and side boards all in matt white lacquer as this is a basement and we needed to lighten it up. The back wall was covered in floor to ceiling shelving, with sliding wardrobe style doors.

The bedrooms were hard to make cozy as the ceiling where so high, but we where able to accomplish this by using very high head boards and long vertical mirrors. Bold linen on the bed and big square pillows, lamps of hand blown fucia colour glass with cream silk shades. Curtain in a complimentary fabric to the padded beds.

In the main house we added more accessories all over floors and cabinetry in the music room, in the cantilevered tea house that hangs over the pool we provide the outside furniture, and interior shelving and a bespoke red lacquer cabinet that is just eye popping.

The family are really enjoying the interiors and drop in from time to time just talk about how good it is working for them.
